The department of the Pharmacy was upgrade to the level of Faculty by the University authorities in 1979. The departments was divided into four section, namely: Pharmaceutics Pharmacology Pharmaceutical ChemistryPharmacognosy. With the shifting of the institute of chemistry and institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology to New Campus, the Faculty expanded many folds by having more laboratories lecture theaters, space for library and extra-curricular activities. The efficiency of the department increased significantly in respect to the teaching / training programs. The silent future of this progress is the updating of the curricula and other facilities to prepare the graduates to meet the challenge / latest trends in the Pharmacy profession.
